Factory Installed Bracket?

I had a 1987 23' with a factory installed bracket. It was a single engine Armstrong. I would have to say it was not a conversion if it has the full transom like an inboard. If you can get a look at the transom from the inside of the boat where the drive would have been you might be able to tell.
