Classic 1974 SF 20’ Sea Craft for sale

Transom needs inspection, it appears solid but it has the wood core and has been around for a while in the water.

Can anyone give me a ballpark idea of what it would cost if examination proved that in fact the transom did need replacement? I am in Boston and am always flirting on and off with getting a boat. This one seems to have very good mojo and the price is appealing. Thanks and tight lines, Bob
