SeaBird 25' Question

Hey, Guys: I have looked at 2 different 25' SeaBirds ( they look like the Seafari) in the last week. Both early '70s. One was a basket case and the other was pretty nice looking.. My question is that when standing on the bow, or even when pushing up at it when the boat is blocked, both boats seem to have excessive "wiggle" to them. The first boat I chalked up to rotted stringers or something like that, but the second boat was rather nice, although it wiggled every bit as much. Any ideas what is going on?- Is this a common trait among these boats?
