Back in the day
I just ran across some old pics of my Dad’s 1978 23ft SeaCraft and me. We had just got back from a fishing trip. It was September of 1980 and I was 9 years old (almost 10). This was when there was no limit on Red Snapper. It wasn't unusual to catch 500lbs of snapper in a day’s trip. There wasn't but just a very few people around here that had electronics back then, my dad being one of them. We would fish on the bottom with a double hook rig and as soon as we would hit the bottom, we were reeling back up with two large Snappers just about every time!
Yours truly trying to hold a large snapper. My uncle and I. My Dad. My dad eventually sold his SeaCraft but the memories of the old SeaCraft stayed with me, so when I got old enough I bought my own SeaCraft.
