Default How can I cross reference a hull serial #

On Christmas day my brother in law informed me of a Boston Whaler that he has seen parked out front of a house for the last three years.I said what the hell..lets go take a looksee and to my suprise it turned out to be a Potter Seacraft! I am now trying to get ahold of the ladies son to see if he'll sell it to me.........I did write down the hull# and cant recall where to find the info pertaining to the #.Anyone know of a way to decipher the hull#.Thank you!
