The clearance on a G2 when totally tilted up is like 29", maybe 28", from the mounting bracket of the engine to the wall of the transom. I'l see if I can find the document from Evinrude.
Yeah, I can attest the 30” bracket provides ample room for a full tilt allowing the lower to be completely out of the water.
