Regarding the anchor locker, your boat is coming out so rad that I am reluctant to recommend anything...but... Harbor Freight sells rubber pads(12"x12"?) that have a diamond plating look and are shock absorbent. They are also easy to cut, have self adhesive backing and are cheap. I covered the whole inside of my locker with them and its worked great. The adhesive has held tight for 4 or 5 years so far.

I used to hate the sound of anchor chain slapping in there on a rough ride home from the islands, it totally eliminated it.
