Keep us posted on how you make out on both the Merc 250 and the bracket. I always thought that using a bracket made more sense if it was mounted higher with a 30" shaft engine. Everytime I look at brackets mounted for 25" shaft engines, I cringe at the thought of those expensive powerheads potentially getting dunked during a following sea or while crashing through an inlet. Sounds like you got a hell of deal....good job. -Ed-
