Don't forget that if you do a bracket with an outboard, the boat's center of gravity will be different and will handle quite differently...even when compared to a conventional outboard transom.
OMC drives tended to be problematic but were very quiet, and handled GREAT at low speeds. You can't make it live, as part of a historical approach? Just a thought! (-: Boats like ours are sort of getting to be antiques! (I've got a '71 20') |
