I have used an external in line electric fuel pump (for autos), also good to use if there is water in the tank, you make the fuel hose loop back into the tank and run it thorugh a water separating filter...just shake the boat every once in a while.

I bought my used electric fuel pump on ebay and sold it a month later for more than I paid for it.
