Oh Yeah, I would not recommend spending much time or money planning to surf fish. There are very small windows of opportunity for red fish on the outside, never seen one caught from the beach, and I think it's usually in the fall. Kids may enjoy 12-18" black tip, bonnet head sharks. You will be staying close to some productive fresh water ponds if that helps. Not sure of what you do for work, but any chance you will be at Mt. Dora, Fla. for the annual antique and classic boat show 3-26--28?
