I have a 1999 250hp Johnson 2 stroke. It is a very thristy motor. At cruise (4200-4400 rpm) according to the Navman, I'm burning approx 16 Gal/Hr Although it's like the Eveready Bunny, it keeps "Going & Going"

I also think you would be very happy with the new big 4-strokes if your transom and wallet can handle the weight.
