Terry- Unfortunately I seldom take the easy approach. I filled the stringers with foam and poured foam in between them.




As far as wet foam goes..... you only get into trouble when there is no where for water to escape such as boxed in fuel tanks etc.. If you leave an escape route for water to flow into the bilge then foam will not trap water. The foam in my boat was almost 40 years old and it was not water logged. There was water up to the bottom of the deck for over a year as I observed my boat prior to purchase.
