You can read in the archives many posts on this subject

Look at these vents. The forward face forward, the aft face aft. All four are designed to complete the under deck circulation. Without all four working in unison, the system does not operate to it's design & capacity. Especially in the bow, the air enters channels that funnel the air flow down and aft to keep the moisture out. Rarely will you find a well sealed deck up top going bad from under by moisture.

Some posts indicated that water enters these vents and taking water over the bow etc. As a Licensed CG Capt., I still am amazed and can't understand why people are trying to enjoy and maintain integerty within their SeaCafts by operating them in such adverse weather conditions
