If you're talking about the point where New River meets the Intracoastal, that used to be called Racoon Island. Back in the '70s it was above water and had some Mangrove Trees growing on it.

Yeah that the place, also haulover inlet to the south and Hillsboro inlet to the north have nicE places to anchor an swim. For cheap trailer space try the yards on ravenswood road just north of Griffin road. I think it's called banyan bay marina
