Tom, I don't know what the Yamaha weighs, but should be a good match for the hull. I ran mine for 31 years with a 300 lb 1975 Evinrude 115 that probably wasn't much more than 100 hp at the prop, (they were rated at powerhead back then). It was plenty of power, especially when it got rough. I averaged 2.8 mpg for ~ 2000 miles over 6 trips to the Abaco's. With that light motor it was very well balanced, so it rode very well and would plane at ~12 mph. I ran a 13 3/4 X 15" prop and cruised at 4500 rpm and about 20 kts. Denny
