FWIW - MSRP for the 2017 150hp is $13,790 and there are places that sell the engine alone for under 10k.
Where I bought mine. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercury-150...hZ-NQu&vxp=mtr $4,000 below msrp would make the 225 a very attractive deal. |

Thanks Big! If I had known Merc had these 4S models coming out at that price point....and assuming the mechanical would "bolt up" to my old Merc controls I would have considered this big time. Especially if they also had the 250 hp available.

Hmmm, that is pretty tempting! No Merc dealer on St. Croix, but I know a guy there who's Merc certified. What prop do think would make sense on a 23' Sceptre Big?
