Shoctor
A 6 K asking price on a 23 that needs everything is not too far off the going rate here in the northeast. If the hull, floors and gunnels seem solid, a transom rebuild will set you back 3 K. Where can you get a 23 with a good transom for 9K total? Dink

I put a 250 4Stroke on a 1984 23CC Seacraft which is the same weight as your 225. The boat sits the same as it did with a 225 2Stroke. Here are some numbers with the 16X21.5 prop from the other week. You will really like the 225 on that boat.

3700- 24 knots
4000- 26.5 knots
4200- 28 knots
4500- 31.7 knots
5000- 34.6 knots
5500- 38 knots
5900- 40.9 knots

A good condition older Sea Craft is difficult to find. I spent a fotune on mine but am happy I did. I have really enjoyed the experience. You know you have something special.
