The top end with a load for fishing won't be anymore than a light boat with a 100 hp. I have a 175 on my 18 and with a fishing load and calm seas I run 33 knots. Family load with an innertube I run 42 knots. If you are fishing, get a bigger motor because 2 buddies and a 100 quart cooler full of ice kills your performance and do not cut the transom. I have a 20" and you have to pick your days or be puckered up running in.
