I'm thinking something like this (with a clam shell on the outside). Simple and clean.

That's what you want but I would have them near the corner. Also, size is critical and they don't need to be as big as you would think. Get the smallest clam shell and work from there. Also, understand my deck has been raised and my deck is sealed. Even so, 3 adults can stand on one side in the back with no water coming in.
I will also note that I water tested my location first with the boat loaded before I cut them. You need a solid 4" above the waterline with the boat fully loaded and level.

Nice covers Dirt! I should have commissioned you to build some covers for mine. Nobody out there makes any like that or that nice.

Dirt, How did you attach those? Also what is the point of doing a large pill shaped opening if the flow is restricted to a small opening at the rear of the clam cover? I was planning to do the pill shape but maybe I'll do the round like your boat.

They arent on there yet, i will just epoxy em on. Theyll only cover about 2/3 of the opening so will still flow plenty. They just keep water from coming in when in forward and pitching side to side. Reverse kinda SOL...
I like round so i can plug em |
