Default Re: livewell question

When I replaced the transom I got rid of the original well and put in an above the deck live well ,It works great. I ran the over flow out the sides I was told its not a good idea to run any holes thru the transon because of rotting problems down the line. Also ran the drain holes for the side compartments out the sides this was 1 of the reasons the transom went bad.Put in a plugged hole inthe bottom of the well that way when you want to drain just pull the plug and out the side it goes.I got the idea from the 31 Contenders how they have the livewells in the transom. I,m still working on the pictures I gave up once before tryng to get them posted.
