Mark ...Welcome
I had to laugh when I read your post above....I too could have sold my boat many times over!!! It sits in a boat yard as I cant keep the boat in my yard....so people think its "unwanted".. ..The boat yard is all fenced in with a security gate and I've had people stop at the fence and yell to me and start a conversation ... then ask if I want to sell !!!! Its usually great conversation because the people really know the boat... A little more bizarre... I've had a guy, well I think it was a guy, pull up to the boat in a pickup and park in front of the boat and stare through his tinted windows for about 15 minuets.....while I was on the boat...he never got out of the truck ... turned around and checked it out from another angle....That was a little freaky actually... The best was when a customer went into the marina and said "I want to buy that blue SeaCraft" and the manager said that’s a customers boat. The person said "Well there's a for sale sign on it". The manager walked out there and of course there’s no sign on the boat. The guy then said "Well someone just took it down!!! it was there before I came to see you!!!!" So the manager was "forced" to call me at work while he stood there. Well I told her that there was never a sign on it nor would there be.....The guy was really pissed that I wouldn’t sell....I probably could have made a whole lot of money that day ... OH WELL....I rather have my little SeaCraft [ May 16, 2002, 11:41 AM: Message edited by: Scott ] |
