I Recently saw a 1984 23 Seacraft CC for sale. I was told that boat was built by CSY. I am familiar with the names Potter and Tracker but have not heard of CSY. Can anyone advise me as to the reputation of the CSY built boats? Also this boat had a full transom and bracket. Can anyone tell me if the 23CC came from the factory like this or was it a after market conversion? Also is there anything in particular that I should be on the lookout for concerning the CSY built Seacrafts? Thanks for any help.

I have a 1983 23' CC that was built by CSY also. I cannot speak for what the company's reputation was, someone on here will be able to I am sure, but my 23 has treated me well so far. The ride is great and the construction is solid.I don't have a bracket, yet, but a notched transom. Wish I could tell you more, but I love mine! -Hooper |

Does anyone know who was building SeaCrafts in 1997, also their reputation? Is this the current builder?
As a contributor I am new to this site, but have been reading and learning here for several months (very informative). Having looked at several 23' SeaCraft CCs up and down East Coast, finding this site, talking with owners, and getting several boats surveyed only to find WET transoms I have learned much about the SeaCraft. However, an accurate "Timeline" of the various builders and their reputations would still be very useful. It seems that an effort to put together a SeaCraft “Timeline” from original builder to present builder was made several months ago but I can not find it... any information would be helpful. Thanks, |

I agree that would be very useful for those of us hunting down an older boat. Perhaps if someone knowledgeable could put that together and it could go in the archives/resources?
