That boat has been on that site for 8 months now. Run away, don't walk.

I agree with the rest, if you want something in that size range you can find 27 Albemarles (gas)pretty cheap (40 and up)(big boats)deisels(a bit more ). Or anything but that piece of ***t!!!! You would spend so much time and money on it that you would never want to look at a boat again!!!

Thanks you guys - I have to tell you this forum is one of the most useful I have ever experienced - not only in terms of boating but just information in general.'

I agree and will not buy the one in Florida and have taken the advise with respect to altering the cap / liner etc.

Unfortunately for me - I have my heart dead set on a Seacraft for the westcoast (I almost am better off without a boat considering how much I brag to the the zillion whaler / grady owners out here - I need to prove the Seacraft legend!)

I am now probably going to buy the 20' Sceptre and do some minor conversions to the current control station - instead of completing ripping the two bulk heads out - I will probably convert them into seat / lockers with the center console / Ttop more towards the stern than a classic 20' center console.

The windscreen will be totally removed.

It may prove to be useful to have some cover up front with the existing deck structure considering the weather here - anyone know how far back the deck comes back on the 20' sceptre?

The boat is one of only 2 Seacrafts north of San Fran that I know of - and has been used in fresh water only (which is rare) and was garaged for 4 of the last 5 years.

Thanks again for all your help.
Thanks again for all you help

Mark - wiat and bide your time. You are better off waiting a year if needed. Becuase you are moving between a 20 and a 27 (quite a range) center console or MAKING a center console, they will happen. Earlier this year there was a 20CC and a 23CC for short money in Cali. You are better waiting for the right one to come along than spending a year converting a bad boat...

Believe, I know as I've been on the outside looking in too...

I have a 1986 Tournament 27. The beam is 10'3", the length is 27' according to the book. The boat is a center console with a cuddy cabin in front of it. I met Bill Potter through a family member. He informed me that there were only 13 of these hulls made, 3 inboard versions the rest outboards. The were built in 1985 and 1986. The boat weighs in at 6800 pounds without motors and gear. E-mail me for more info - trr1rigs@att.net

I saw one of these at Saquatucket Harbor in Harwich, MA. Not a bad looking boat, CSY built correct?

Hey Squiddy, that 27 (or another one like it) is in Chatham (on stands over near Steve's house) and there is a 23 CC in the yard too... The one you saw, was it a dark colored hull? Blue or black? Maybe dark green?
