Thanks you guys - I have to tell you this forum is one of the most useful I have ever experienced - not only in terms of boating but just information in general.'
I agree and will not buy the one in Florida and have taken the advise with respect to altering the cap / liner etc. Unfortunately for me - I have my heart dead set on a Seacraft for the westcoast (I almost am better off without a boat considering how much I brag to the the zillion whaler / grady owners out here - I need to prove the Seacraft legend!) I am now probably going to buy the 20' Sceptre and do some minor conversions to the current control station - instead of completing ripping the two bulk heads out - I will probably convert them into seat / lockers with the center console / Ttop more towards the stern than a classic 20' center console. The windscreen will be totally removed. It may prove to be useful to have some cover up front with the existing deck structure considering the weather here - anyone know how far back the deck comes back on the 20' sceptre? The boat is one of only 2 Seacrafts north of San Fran that I know of - and has been used in fresh water only (which is rare) and was garaged for 4 of the last 5 years. Thanks again for all your help. Thanks again for all you help |
