New to Seacraft boats
I'm new to Seacraft boats, as a matter of fact this is my first boat. I have a '79 18' C/C and was wondering who manufactured the hull during this era. I have heard of Potter hulls, is this '79 a Potter and if so is that a good thing?

BTW I was lucky enough to come across this site today, and I gotta say there is plenty of much needed useful info in here. So please by all means keep up the good work.

Re: New to Seacraft boats
Welcome Pillian One
I'm pretty sure your boat falls into the Potter era and yep thats a good thing!!!!just mentioning Potter in association with your hull seems to increase it value....everyone always asks me "Is it a Potter hull??" I think 79 or 80 was Potter's last year....after those years its been mentioned that quality began to slide alittle (more so with quality of components used in building the boat) and from what has been mentioned around here the hull was still well built...... Seafari mentioned in another thread that these "Classic" hulls are seemingly costing more than the newer used hulls...seems people are willing to pay top dollar for these boats and their heritage...Not to many other manufactures of boats have the numbers of classic hulls like Seacraft .... Bertram is one that comes to mind....not bad company!!!! Oh yeah ...First boat ..... you've got excellent taste in boats!!! Good luck with her!!!
