I`m new to this but I see there is some questions on my boat.Yes it is a SeaCraft yes it has sprayrails and yes it has a 20 inch transom. The boat was not a rag when it went through this change but I could not get $4,000.00 for it and I had redone the entire boat in 1991. I had a Hewes Bone Fisher also and I could not afford to keep both boats running.I used the Hewes 90% of the time because it was cheaper an easier to use and cheaper on gas.
I took 1000# out of the SeaCraft droped the transome to 20" to save the weight of the motor and the extra material in the transome. I raised the floor a couple of inches to make it a true self bailing hull. I replaced all the wood in the boat with foam with the exception of the transome. I used Marine plywwood because a rep. at the factory advised against using foam in the transome if I could`t vacumn bag it.
The project took 20 months to complete and I love the boat. I have another 20 footer in the back yard that will probably will be the next edition.
