Default AMF and Seacraft

Someone just told me AMF once owned seacraft at one time. That's new to me and sounded a little shaky to me. Although this dealer seems to trade alot of SC's.
Anyone with any info on this?

He might be confusing it with Robalo. AMF used to own them.

AMF owned Robalo and also what your friend is confusing SeaCraft for, Slickcraft. These were excellent boats started by Leon Slickers, who now owns S2 Yachts, makers of Tiara and Pursuit. Unfortunately, AMF had money troubles and let the quality slip on these boats before selling Robalo. I'm not sure of this part but I believe Slickers bought back Slickcraft but not the name which was not used again.
