Default ? about a Bracket

I am looking at an 83 23'cc SC with a stainless steel bracket on the back. The transom was closed off and this bracket was put on. I would post a picture but I am not sure how. Currently there is a 225 Mariner on the bracket. Are single engine brackets like this common and can they support the weight and not damage the transom?
Thanks, CMBarnes

That's the one. Any info on the boat. I have more recent pictures than that but can't post them.

It's getting better at 10K but that boat has been for sale there for many months, 8 or so that i can think of. I also think it was 15K or so then and did not look worth it. If you do go ofor this once, a survey should be absolute with this boat. The fact that the price has come down a lot is better.

E-mail the pics and I can put them up... I'm curious to see more (not that I want this boat)

thanks...

John

They still have the T-top. He said he would put it back on but that it was small. I thought that was strange as well.

Interesting about the T-Top...

That boat sit's like it has twins... I don't know enough to tell you how to bracket but it certainly looks like a good candidate for a flotation bracket. That weight being put further back really seems to jack the front up...

I am set on a center console. The boat does sit low in the water. I wonder where all that weight is from. The boat is in the keys Finster. I wish I was closer myself. I am in South Carolina...still 12 hr drive away.
