Hello beached,I am looking at the price list from 1982 and CSY did offer a jackshaft model for the 23 Superfisherman for $25,250.

I'm late the this party but the 23' IB is a fine running boat and it would be a real crime to bastardize a Potter 23 IB with a jackshaft/outdrive set up...

Thanks for replies,
Great points made by all posters...Conversion not a practical option. It was just a thought.
Please note that I am still in the hunt to purchase a SeaCraft 23' classic. I'll just focus on locating an older i/o or ob and just stick with it's original power set-up and upgrade from there.
Thanks again!
