Default I'm going to pass her up....

Thx guys for answering so quickly and w/ straight-up advice. I think I am going to pass her up. It is a shame ! I have always wanted the 23' Sceptre ( Potter years ), but the amount of $$ and time to make this twin i/o into either a single i/o or a single o/b is just too much.

I had visions of grandeur. Reality kicked in and the cost of the refit; including the purchase price of the boat, new motor/bravo drive, wiring harness, a possible fuel tank ( condition unknown )not to mention re-doing the transom, new motor mounts, rigging it all, the electric etc. I estimated about 22K. I know it seems like a small amount of $ once it is all done and said - but getting it to that point is a hell of a lot of work ! It just does not make dollars and sense.

As grandma always said, " rich or poor, it's nice to have money " !
