BJ from what I see on this board http://www.wmi.org/www/boating/boatboard/ they have straightened out any problems with them. There were alot of horror stories a couple of years ago but Bomb. seems to have taken care of it. Only certain engine sizes were affected anyway. Check out the site above and search "ficht". These guys are very knowledgeable Good luck Jon.

BJ-

I repowered this past fall with a 2003 225hp ficht and I now have almost forty hours on it. I would be happy to tell you my initial impression of it which is positive.

I now they were having major problems prior to the 2002 models, prior to Bombardier but as of 2002 they have really improved.Im inclining to a 250 but I have to do a little bit of reseach with the 4 strokes.RS.
