I thought you'd like that comment Mark.

ScottM and Scott NJ.....I can take it. Shop towels and Lifeseal are a must on any boat.

ScottM- what kinda boat are you looking at this weekend? If you need an extra set of eyes...give me a call.

Ed,
I'm keeping it on the down low for now as it involves a guy from another site and I don't want anything funky happening - call me superstitious. If all goes well, I'll be posting the info tomorrow afternoon. I appreicate the offer but I have 3 guys going with me already. I'll call you tonight and fill you in.

Scott

After I saw what they charged for some items like THROW AWAY resin cups ....forget it ....I use them for Bottom paint and "emergency" stuff only ...If your not in a rush you can find most of the stuff online for less cash.

Go to a Medical Supply store and get the wax coated 2oz pill cups and 18oz barium dispenser cups. They work great for bottom, stains, varnish, resin and two park urathane paints. They also have measurement lines and after use just throw them out. Approx 5 cents a piece. A couple of bucks and your set for a year
You can also use a paper pail or roller pan and line it with tin foil. After use roll the foil up and dump it. No clean up or rinsing!! :cool

Just some ideas for ya! Have a good Day

Anchors, fishfinders, resin cups - the six degrees of separation...

My .02 : Resin cups. I use the deli-style container - you know the one for 1/2 -1 lb of cole slaw w/ a cover, sans the cover. The trick is to use the resin and then let the resin fully cure in the cup.

Then the next day - bend the plastic a bit and the whole damn pc of hardened resin comes out like a mold and you reuse that container again and again. Some you have to chip off but it comes right off. I've reused those this way 10 X, if not more... The key is to go to a good deli where you actually like the cole slaw.

never forget the first time (only time) I mixed up some resin in a styrofoam cup......I could see my feet right through the bottom of the cup within about ten seconds
