Zup,

Not to throw a monkey in your wrench but stop buy your local Suzuki dealer and price out a 250hp 4 stroke. Its a nice thing when at idle the only sound heard is the pisser hitting the water. Either way, you can't go wrong. If it was me, I'd go for the 300 just for the cool factor alone.

The local Suzuki dealer here was out "testing" a new Carolina Skiff 28' with a 4 stroke 250. If it wasn't for the telltale, I wouldn't have known it was ruinning. He claimed a WOT speed of 51 kts on that flat-bottom skiff in a light chop. He also said $17.2K rigged, plus propellor cost. Too rich for my blood.
