Hey John, I just saw this thread.I painted my OMC with the same paint as my cockpit,only I sprayed some rustoleum primer on it first.That was the petit easypoxy and it looks great and held up well, of course it's off white like the cockpit.I screwed around with the Blue/silver omc paint in the spray can and it wouldn't match and it looked lousy and I finally said it's an ugly color anyway, I'm going with the white they paint the new ones white anyway.
But a Yammy's a different story (congrats btw),and you will never be happy with those Tempo spray cans from the marine stores.I would go with Trayders idea, get some auto paint that is a close match and spray the whole thing.You can pick any system you want, but they have a zillion colors, so something has to be a close match.I sprayed my kid's car with PPG Omni, which has a 2-part clear,put something like that on and it'll look good as new
