Default 23' Tsunami- lift eye support necessary ???

My '75 Tsunami does not have the lift eye installed in the bow deck ( although there is a hole for it )- therefore it does not have the threaded rod / support that normally would connect this bow lifting eye to the trailer eye ( located on the hull right above the water line )for support. This threaded rod would normally be located in the anchor locker.

Is this threaded rod/support important for support if I never plan on lifting the boat via the bow eye ?

I have all the parts, I just do not know if it is needed for bow support.

If you're not using it to lift the boat then don't bother with it. It'll just be in the way.
