Default Overpriced/ Opinions

Here is one that says it has been totally redone.
What are some of the opinions of paying that much for a 22 year old boat. This really looks turn key and real sweet.
PS- Any one know this boat?

Well, lets think about that...

If you add up what it will cost to get a "project" boat to that stage, it's a deal.

I'm currently selling an 18' CC SeaCraft that I won't be able to get a fraction of my money out of, but that is how restoring boats seems to work.

Say you buy a true beater that is in need of everything but you get a "great deal" on it and pay $2000 for a 23' hull.

Here's just some of the numbers that will add up:

trailer - $2,000.....minimum
engine - $14,000
t-top - $2,500
hull - $2000 (not real likely!)
steering wheel (decent) - $200
hydraulic steering - well, you get the idea
vhf (low end) - $200
leaning post - $500
gas tank - $6-10/gallon
bracket/closed transom - $3000
etc
etc
etc

From the viewpoint of someone who is contemplating the "project" route done by a professional, a well restored boat is worth the money, be it before, during, or after.

If you did ALL the work yourself you may be able to equal this price, but you would probably have a hard time beating it.

If you have the money to spend on it, that is definatley worth it. It is in perfect shpape with a new motor on new bracket. Mark says it right. It would cost way more to replicate this so if you have the money and this is what you want, It is definately worth it.

I think that boat started 6-8 months ago at 32K

Also check out the 23 with the 93 Rude, big aftermarket console, and ice blue paint - worth looking at

YCHTCPTN, I LOOKED AT THE ICEBLUE WITH THE EVINRUDE AND BIG COSOLE. BASED ON READING OF YOUR SEARCH,I'LL TELL YOU NOT TO WASTE YOUR TIME LOOKING AT THAT ONE. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO PUT THE EFFORT INTO A PROJECT,THAT WAHOO LOOK'S LIKE A GREAT BUY IF YOU DO THE MATH. BELIEVE ME,,, I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF ONE NOW. BUT I WOULDN'T HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY!! IF YOU DECIDE ON A PROJECT,I'LD KEEP MY EYE ON THE ONE LANCE HAS @ ATLANTIC. I'M SURE YOU KNOW THE STORY,, AND IT'S ONLY A QUESTION OF TME BEFORE THE GREEDY GUY WANT'S SOMEONE TO GIVE HIM HIS MONEY BACK, AND AS I'VE POSTED BEFORE, HE ONLY GAVE $8500 FOR IT. THAT BOAT DOESN'T NEED A WHOLE LOT TO MAKE IT NICE. GOOD LUCK,, LT DAN

Thanks, I am following up on the Wahoo.
As to the one at Atlantic, it John R was right it is the same one I looked at that is in the Trader for 14,900 and Atlantic has it for 16,500. You all will be interested to know the guys story.
He told me that he bought it for 15K and put the bimini and the dodger on and he just kept talking about how solid the boat is and how everything is just fine. Personally I think it is a candidate for rehab,I think he was trying to sell a song and a dance.
