Default 25' Seafari

I was driving thru the back roads of CT two weeks ago and came across a 1976 25' Seafari. Originally my plan was to buy this boat and sell it to someone off the board, but apparently there isn't that much interest in the 25 cuddy. So much for that plan....

From the For Sale sign...

1976 25' Seafari
1999 Alpha 1 350/200 HP mercruiser ??
Merc 500 hrs
860-749-5941
860-213-0537
$7500 obo

The hull looks in good shape. It comes with a dual axle Shoreline roller trailer. The trailer needs brakes. Apparently it was originally a dual I/O setup converted to dual Outboard, then converted to single I/O. Needless to say the transom has been modified. The original arched transom is gone. It has a soft top and a radar arch. It is painted blue.

The story is the guy got it in Florida in 1988. Originally it came from Kentucky.?? He keeps it in RI. He just started advertising it, and says he has a couple guys coming this weekend to look at it. Otto you better hurry………..

Sorry no pics.

Rich,
I think this same boat is listed in the New England edition of The Fisherman. At first I thought it was a typo since the ad read something like "25' CC", which I took to mean center console. Sounds like somewhat of a mongrel at this point.

Scott,

Yeah he mentioned that he put it in the The Fisherman. Said he got alot of calls from guys on the Cape thinking it was a Center console "CC". The hull looks like it is pretty good shape.

I agree with Scott. Sounds like the transom is completely "boogered" and will most likely have to be replaced. I wonder if any other "modifications" were made??

Anyone ever been on a ride on a 25' hull? I've only been on a 20' Seacraft.....still waiting to experience the legendary ride of the 23 Seacraft......

Hey Ed,
Ours is splashing this weekend (if the weather cooperates), so if you're interested in a ride, let me know.
