Default Windshield replacement gasket for sceptre

I am in the process of replacing the glass on my sceptre and have had now luck finding the replacement gasket that holds the glass into the frame. Does anyone know where I can possibly find this? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Charlie Y

Give the original manufacturer of the windshield frame and glass a call.

American Marine Prod
954-782-1400

They definitely have it...

No problem, Charlie. I recently ordered the same stuff... Any idea as to how to install the stuff ? I won't be doing the gaskets for awhile, so let me know how the job goes.

Thx,

Alan

Alan, I am having a friend of mine put the new glass in and I hope they won't have any problems. I'll let you know how it goes. I am putting tinted glass on the sides and on the lower paynes of the front windshield. It should look good when it's done! It's in the boatyard in Deltaville, Va being painted now and I can't wait to get it back. I converted it from an i/o to accept a bracket with an outboard. I am looking forward to posting some pictures and finding out how it will perform.

Charlie,

Good luck w/ the glass install. If you your friend has any hints on how it gets installed, pls let me know.

I am doing a conversion on a 23 Tsunami; from (2) i/o's to either (1) i/o or (1) o/b w/ a bracket.

I would really be interested in hearing how the boat performs w/ your o/b bracket. What bracket and motor did you go with ?

Thx,

alan

Alan,

I bought a Stainless Marine bracket that has a 30" offset and is 72" width and a 13 degree angle. I have not purchased the motor yet but I have decided between the Yamaha 225 four stroke or the new 250 HPDI. I'm not sure which one I will go with but I hear good things about both. My brother inlaw has the four stroke on a 25 parker and it's mighty quiet. I need to make up my mind in about a month.
