Come further south for Mahi Mahi. I understand the Keys are alive with them

Jon,
I've been hearing reports of good size bass way inside CC Bay, I wish my dad was up for the run down there. Tuesday night I went out with a buddy over to Race Pt./Peaked Hill Bar and got torn up by 5# bluefish (good for giants, bad for stripers!). Only 1 semi-decent bass (15#) to show for a full night's work. Oh well, that's fishin'. Ed, I'll get some good spots from my buddy and we'll hammer'em next weekend! |

Last night pulled in the fourth forty incher since my last post. Got them all from the same spot in CC bay. I just got the boat off plane and started letting the wire out and wham! Less than twenty seconds of fishing and my brother in law got his first keeper a nice plump 40" I can't wait for the fishing in Sept. if its this good now, Heard of a 50lber. taken off Sandy Neck. Scott how far a run is it from where you guys are to P Town. Sesuit to P-Town is 16.5 miles made this trip three times this year takes 34min with the new Suzuki.

Jon,
From our dock in Hingham to P-Town it's a good 25-30 miles. From Green Harbor it's only 18 - I wish we were docked there instead . Then again, that's what trailers are made for, right? |

Scott-
How did you and your dad make out with that other prop last night??? Also, did you get the rain gear?? Lastly, when you and your Dad go to P-town...dont you just hug the coast until you get to Plymouth and then head due east?? Probably a little longer in nautical miles but a shorter open sea crossing. -Ed- |

Scott, thats not to bad, I thought that you guys were further away than that, sixteen miles seems to take forever even though its just over a half hour I imagine 30 miles seems like quite a ride. I want to make a Nantucket run before the summers over which is just around 20 from Harwich but I want a good day for it. The marine weather report has been pretty off some days in the past week, but its been off in the good side, predicting winds that never showed, I'd hate to get over there and have them make a mistake on the other side with winds stronger than predicted. I'd look pretty silly sleeping on the deck of the boat in my rain gear next to the luxury yachts I'm not sure my wife would be up for that trip until I've done it once, I'll have to take my dad he's up for anything. Summers slipping away I want to do a Cuttyhunk run from Woods Hole also I beter get my but in gear, the longest part of that trip is getting the old blazer to Woods Hole from Brewster.
