You know....

I knew I shouldn't have clicked on this topic, I knew I wouldn't like it...

My heart is truly broken today. I have a roaring case of RedSox hangover from this whole season. How can anyone hate these guys. They embodied what it meant to be professionals; true class (aside from the LILLY crap they pulled in the dug out during the Okland series which I was embarrassed about). I love being a New Englander and I love all of New England, even that part of Connecticut which I consider to be more of New York and even that part of Vermont which I consider more of Canada. NOTHING is more New England than wearing a Sox cap during the summertime, drinking way too many beers at Fenway,or falling alseep in front of the boys of summer on TV late in the afternoon when it's too damn windy on Nantucket Sound to fish. I guess that I invested way too much of myself into this post season. '99 was fun, but it wasn't the same; '86 was bad, but I was too young to realize what I was seeing. So, now in 2003, my innocence is long long gone, and I fell for it. Regardless of who is to blame, once again, its' now next season that counts. Man, that one really really hurt. Yankee fans, be kind... this was no ordinary, "Babe Ruth curse" ridden Sox team. They were a team that really should have gone to the big one.

As a remedy, I fished. Guess what? The fishing Sucked too. It was cold, and windy and the fish didn't bite. Come to think of it, it only made things worse.

It ain't easy being a Sox fan. Not like it is being a Yankee fan.... wonder what it will be like to root for the Marlins.... hmmm, yeah the fish?! I think I could root for a team named the Marlins. They are young and man are they talented too. Plus, they are named after a fish!

Anyhow, I knew I shouldn't have opened this topic. Be kind to us New York, this one will sting for a long, long time.

Dear Florida Marlins....

THANKS YOU! It made me all warm and fuzzy inside to see those damn Yankees get SHUT OUT in Game & in the Bronx by a 23 year old whiz kid (He was unbelievable...)

Now, Marlins Fans, support your team please... there is nothing worse than bandwagon fans which most Marlins fans really are. How about going to a home game next year? You are truly spoiled to have won two World Series titles in eleven years. Take it from a beaten Sox fan, you are blessed, but beware next year....

SOX in 2004!

Hey Hooper

I am a Marlins Fan since the start The problem is Big Money gets the players and then the owners sell them out
I can't go to the games because I speak English & I like my leather recliner and cheap brews too much!!! Plus I can sit in the pool and watch the game and look @ my Seacraft at the 7th inning stretch...
