Eins, Zwei, Drei, Zufa! Ein PROZIT!
Miss bavarian beer ... Rather have the 5 inches of rain than the 20 degree, 25 knot wind I'm debating to fish over this weekend. The snot / SaltH2O mix freezes inside the nose and cracks the skin around the edges but last best shot at a FIFTY!!! [ November 06, 2003, 11:04 PM: Message edited by: John R ]

People are making a mint off of mojo's and parachute rigs, getting in the 20 to 30 dollar range for the 'chutes which dont really last that long. The mojo's are what really do the job.from 16 to 40 oz's depending on the water depth and chartuese tails. We use them on three ways and I like to fish a bunker spoon on the long end. (green drones also work real well.) The chartuese colors are the real deal for the big rockfish around here. Not sure if you know what Im talking about, I think they are more a local thing but they sure catch fish. The parachutes are like sea witches on steroids.

parachute
mojo's link- swede's is a local guy buy he sells a lot of stuff- they call the one in the top picture a mojo but I consider that to be more of a parachute. I'll see if I can find a better picture of one. http://outfittersparadise.com/s/Swed...Products_R.htm [ November 07, 2003, 03:08 PM: Message edited by: Miles Offshore ]

Miles,
Do you jig the mojo like a parachute? Also, are you attaching them to umbrella rigs, or just using them individually? I've never seen a setup like that, must be a local thing like you mention. Might be worth trying up here. |

Hey Scott, we fish them on a three way. Use a short leader for the mojo~2 or 3 ft, a long leader 10 to 15 ft for the parachute, which I like the big spoon on instead of the chute most of the time. We will mostly just slow troll em, wire is the best, but shallower water you can bottom bounce but it is not nesesary. They really work well and the pictures dont really do them justice as far as the size goes. You can probably see that the mojo itself is really nothing more than a big inline sinker powder coated green or whatever with eyes and a big shad/swimming tail. Hope this helps- they are the real deal down here, or up here for Brad.
