There is zero difference in hull design. Even today's 23 has the exact same hull design as a 1972.

I concur. The design is the same. That leaves lay-up scheduale, materials and quality of workmanship. I think it's a safe bet that the "early" FRP hulls were built heavy. It's been said here before that the dry weight of the various models has stayed within 10%.
If you strip down a Potter, a CSY and a Tracker hull, make your repairs and compare them side by side, I think we would find they are essentially the same. Correct me if I'm wrong, guys.

The hull design is the same but the interior layout is vastly different and this is one place where the weight may differ along with the lay up scheduale.

I think it's safe to say the outter hulls all look the same. As for the guts, I don't think so.
I can look at a Potter boat and expect to find what I am looking for, or know where it should be. I can't do that on the other boats. Word on the street is CSY layed up lots more glass and in doing so lost money on each boat. Unfortunatley or fortunatley the extra weight didn't improve the boat. Thinks he knows everything. There will be CSC recertification testing at the AC show. Bring #2 pencil.

This is a touchy subject, one might get offended if I have bad input on a boat that they might have. So on this note, I don't mean to offend anyone . I had a 77 20ft Sceptre Potter built and now have an 82 23ft Sceptre CSY built. I can't really tell that much difference between the two as far as glass lay-up etc goes. If you really want to split hairs, it does seem that the CSY boat does have more glass (being built like a tank), but that might be the simple fact that it is a bigger boat. However I'm not happy with the workmanship that was put into my 23ft boat . I talked to a local fiberglass man and he said that he has had to repair several Tracker models, stated that the stringers were breaking loose in them, and that Tracker had actually tried to just bond the stringer in rather that glassing them.
