5900 X 43 ?
My 20' MA was just taken for a seatrial after a lil work. 5900 rpm 43 mph.(GPS)by shop.SS Mirage II with plugs taken out of prop. I believe it has a 17P. '95 150 merc.everything New plugs,wtr pump.etc.Does'nt seem as fast as Before ?Does this seem right? My Hair is shorter but mustache is Longer ??
Scream'n reels' I have tabs ,motor is raised about a inch higher than before(New transom)Cavitation plate 1 " or so above keel.Prop has just been re conditioned too.

Brad, 43 isn't bad but I don't think you are propped right. You may want to go up to a 19" pitch. Your Merc is happiest at 5500 rpm and 2 inches more pitch will bring it right in line. You can also expect higher cruise mph but a little slower out of the hole. I think you can hit 46mph.

I've got a 5 blade sitt'n in the garage,I'll try it soon 17P also,then I'll try a 19P ? Have an old Mickey Mouse ear prop 19P Hek i'll just make prop day out of it as soon as the Water WARMS up !I don't like runn'n that engine that High of rpm All the Time !
