Considering that a properly made and installed aluminum gas tank can last for 30 plus years without a problem I really dont see the need. I coated mine with coal tar epoxy and I thought that was a bit of over kill. Encapsulating it in fiberglass seems a bit extreme to me... kinda like wearing three condoms when you only need one.
