Removal of Out drive. A one man job?
Has anyone removed an out drive by themselves, and with out a hoist? I'm heading out Friday or Saturday to do this in a parking lot.
The outdrive is an old Mercruiser TR-II or TRS-II. Thanks, Jim |

pick a parking lot near a Home Depot, there are always plenty of day laborers that you could get to lend a hand for a small fee.

Re: Removal of Out drive. A one man job?
You should be able to let the tongue of the trailer down, then take the trim cylinders off of the out drive so that the drive goes all the way down. Next put a block of wood under the skeg, then start raising the tongue back up until you have supported the weight of the drive on the block of wood. Remove the drive; be sure to put the shifter in forward before you remove it.
