Default It's no SeaCraft, but...

It's what's working now. The following are the modifications I made this week to my '03 Boston Whaler 16 Dauntless. I stole all of the electronics from the SeaCraft 23CC project which is shelved until this fall.

Lowrance 19c color chartplotter/depth sounder. Note the GPS/WAAS antenna mounted flush on the dash.

Standard Horizon Eclipse+ VHF radio install vertically. Note the Shakespeare Galaxy 5400 48" antenna. It has a stainless steel mount that allows it to be lowered so the cover will fit.

Poly-Planar MRD-60 waterproof 180 watt AM/FM/CD with (4) Poly-Planar low magnetic waterproof speakers. A Shakespeare splitter allows the radio to share with the VHF.

I love doing this stuff and am looking forward to enjoying the fruits of these efforts as soon as the weather breaks.

But it will work!!!

Nice use of limited space.. I never knew that the GPS antenna could be mounted flush like that. Why is the SeaCraft put on hold? She looked very ready with that nice paint job you gave her.

Strick,

Thanks for the comments. You may have seen my post showing damage to our Carver aft cabin motor yacht from a snowload building collapse. This will be taking some attention to get her ready to sell. We will splash her and enjoy the summer until she does sell. The whaler manages all of the other fish and fun boating. We're also renovating our shop to accomodate the SeaCraft so can me worked on indoors this fall and winter.

Plus, we're looking at new homes and ours needs some curb appeal upgrades. Oh, yea, work is finaly busy again after 2 years. What else?
