Default 20 sf rear boxes

I have 78 20' sf with the original aft boxes in place. Right now when you open the hatch it accesses the bilge. I want to make these boxes into some type of storage? What is your guys suggestions? A drop in box, that I could remove to do work on the bilge, would be great, but how would I make one or who do I contact to make one? What else do you guys do with yours, right now it seems to me that it is just wasted space? I would like to cut them out and raise the deck and make it a level deck, I am just new to fiberglassing and I have never done any real big job with it, so right now that is not an option and plus the deck is solid.
Thanks,
George

Hi George,
Just got back from FSU...saw your place and heard it was nice!!! Bill starts there in the fall and he is going to do Elect Eng and Theatre tech. I put a battery in each area and the switch in the starboard one. Also installed a large waterproof hatch in that splash well to access the bilge pump. Storage there will be very shallow due to the stringer. What do you want to put there? Maybe put it in a box that wiil fit under the seats. My deck is nearly done and the console is ready for pickup. Maybe if I'm lucky it will be ready to use by the end of the summer!!

Hermco removed his and it looks good. What are you using for a motor?
Bill

Generaider,
Does he know what dorm he is living in yet? I wanted to put a rear drop in box or something to make it another storage compartment or I was thinking about leaving my batts there. I recently just bought a console from viper boats, and I also bought a 2001 Cape horn boat that is over horsed with 150 EFI merc which I am going to put that motor on the sc and buy a used 115 for the Cape horn then sell it. I just couldnt pass the deal up that I got on it. Hopefully everything will be done for the fall semester.
George
