how do you guys get insurance with a 200hp? the max for those boats is 175hp?

That’s a hard one, most Co. left the minds at home when it comes to underwriting. It’s not how much power you have under the hood it’s how “reckless” you are with the power you have under the hood. But underwriters have a chart (not a brain) to determine eligibility of a new account. I would try someone (independent insurance agency) who specializes in marine accounts, that’s your best chance for success.
