Default Re-Attach Deck to Stringers

The bond between my deck and stringers has loosened in a few spots and the deck has saggd, as well. It looks like the bedding material is pinkish in color and rock solid.
I want to get the deck back to its original height.
Any suggestions of what to use to re-bed? A friend suggested some epoxy covered wood but I can't accept this after taking loads of wood out, that were jammed under there by the previous owner, as a quick fix. Dink

I would use a thickend epoxy( cabosil and a rigid foam to fill in the low spots. Then i would use vey long drywall screws to pull everything together. Remove the screws when the epoxy is cured fill the holes and away you go on to annother part of the boat projedt.

Dink,

You can make a putty with resin, cabosil, and micro fibers. Or you can buy a deck/hull putty from merton's fibergalss in Springfield,MA. Joe Merton is a nice guy to deal with.

Funny thing the other day I walked in for the first time in 9 months, and he is on the phone with Scott P.

Scott, I tried to call you but your number has changed. (?)

That was funny .... I think Joe was super surprised when he saw you ....as the phone kinda went silent ... then he goes ...”Umm you'll never guess who just walked in the store!! “ I told him that was just typical SeaCraft Karma !!

Dink …. the “deck/hull putty “ that ebeach mentions would be just right for what you need …. I just got another gallon of it

Ha Dink
I first cleared out all the loose pieces and then cleaned (as best as I could) with acetone removing all dirt and what not then I did three things I trawled thickened epoxy in from the sides and then I drilled small holes from the top and injected thickened epoxy in from the top using a syringe. Then I glassed the 90 degree angle from the stringer to the bottom on the deck which also helped support the lip for the gas tank deck plate. It worked for me.

Fellow-ship

How did you stop the thickened mixture to make contact with the underside of the floor? Or was that what the syringe was for? Dink

After you drill several holes it will flow up and out of another hole.
